By submitting this form you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the contest guidelines. I also agree to allow Lakeside Arts Foundation to use my art and likeness to promote future events. I also grant Lakeside Arts Foundation and the City of Lewisville an unlimited, non-exclusive license to use my art and likeness to promote their activities and future events.
Chalk This Way Festival 2015 Guidelines
Entries are divided into three division categories:
1) Child (age 4-6) $3.00 suggested donation, day of event, non-competitive
2) Amateur (age 7 & up) $20.00 fee per submission or $15 pre-registration discount, competition
3) Professional No entry fee charged

A completed entry form must be submitted for each entry.

Contestants may not submit more than one entry. Small groups of 4 or fewer may work on one entry.

The Scholarship competition is open only to amateur student artists who are in the 11th or 12th grade, in LISD,and intending to attend a university or college and pursue a major in one of the Fine Arts areas.

Entries must be exclusively the work of the contestant(s) and may not contain or depict any copyrighted materials.

All Artwork must be contained within the designated 6 x 6’ area. Artists wishing to do a group work larger than 6
x 6’ must contact LAF prior to the event to make arrangements and must pay for the number of spaces used.

A detailed Concept Rendering must be sent in with the entry form, or may be submitted with the form on the day of the event. A discount is given for pre-registration.

All artwork must be family-appropriate and may not contain images of violence, profanity, obscenity, or inflammatory material (political, religious, etc.). Lakeside Arts Foundation reserves the right to reject entries for any reason including, but not limited to use of inappropriate subject matter.

The judges’ decisions are final.

Awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony at the close of the contest (time TBA) and posted publicly the week following the event.

Board members of Greater Lewisville Arts Alliance or board members of Lakeside Arts Foundation and immediate family members of the board of directors are ineligible for any contest prizes but may participate in the exhibition only (non-judged) areas.

By entering this contest the artist gives LAF permission to photograph and publish all artwork created.

Other than chalk, which is provided by LAF, artists must provide their own supplies and materials.

Artists are encouraged to wear sunscreen, sun-protective clothing, closed-toe shoes, and a hat. Do not wear
clothing that you do not want to risk being stained or ruined. Chalk art is messy.
